Grain Markets Scheduled to Open at 8:30 a.m. CST; May be Influenced by Lower
Palm Oil, Weaker Brazilian Real
Grain markets were closed overnight and will have a modified open at 8:30
CST on Thursday morning.

EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: Grain markets were closed overnight and
will have a modified open at 8:30 CST on Thursday morning.
CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed to begin the new year, with
China starting the year poorly, but the U.S. market poised to open higher to
begin 2025. Profit taking and position rebalancing after a second consecutive
year of over 20% gains weighed on the U.S. markets on Monday and Tuesday.
Strength Thursday morning is tied to general optimism about the economy despite
the forecasts for less interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve.
OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial
Average down 25.91 at 42,544.22 and the S&P 500 down 25.31 at 5,881.63. The
10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.573%. Early Tuesday, the March Dow Jones
Futures are up 0.48%. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of
London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.01%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading
down 0.32% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 1.16%. Asian
markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index steady and China's Shanghai
Composite Index down 1.73%.
